Hands up who is looking for inspiration? Recently I had the pleasure of taking part in a styled shoot which focused on the fabulous purple haze and mystic mauve colour combination, perfect for couples looking for an alternative wedding inspiration, the shoot was created by the incredibly talented Kate Haughton from KC Moore Foto who is based in the North West but covers weddings across the UK
Pryor Hayes Golf Club is a stunning venue set in the Cheshire countryside not too far away from Chester, the venue holds so much character and idyllic settings perfect for your big day, the pagoda is simply beautiful, the staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble on the day.
Concept and Planning
This was Kate’s first time planning a styled but her planning, vision and direction on the day were so on point and she captured the whole day perfectly, her style is naturally relaxed images and I think you will agree from the photos below she has definitely showcased this perfectly
With it being late summer, her inspiration behind the shoot was the colour combination, which works equally well for either late summer or early autumn wedding and she wanted to create an alternative look, the Madison James figure hugging dress supplied from The Bridal Suite Cheshire was simply breath taking paired up with a pair of Dr Martins definitely created that unique wedding vibe
Setting The Scene
Steph from Flossie’s Weddings dressed the venue to perfection, there were flowers and foliage galore incorporating all the colours from the mood board, for me the floral backdrop was amazing, so vibrant with a full of colour
As soon as you walked into the room the first thing I saw was the beautiful chair sash’s it complimented the light and airy room perfectly along with the mirror on the wall which again reflected the light beautifully
The Makeup
Lizzie and Emily our beauty team gave our model a natural bridal look, with soft pinks and smoky eye finished with a hippie, boho styled braid with tussled waves
The Cake
I have to confess for me this photo shoot was a little minute affair and I literally got the call two days before the shoot but you all know me I do love a challenge, my inspiration was the colours scheme from the mood board but I wanted to incorporate dried flowers which are so on trend at the moment
The bottom tier of the cake is a mauve marble effect tier the middle tier has a textured finish and the top tier was iced a brilliant white with sharp edges and then I brought the design together with a hand tied dried flower bouquet which has the most amazing deep purple pampas grass as a statement piece, huge thank you to Sara at The Flower Decorative for sourcing them for me at such short notice,
